Comic Illustrator and Artist, Occasional Designer and concept/environmental/sprite artist for games.
Sprite Artist/Designer for Growing Pains as part of the Haunted Ps1 Game Jam of May 2025 titled "Growth"
Behind the Scenes Work for "Growing Pains"
These were the early concepts for the game, which included character sketches, potential menu screens and the visuals for how the game play might have looked. At first we had a machine with a stacking and mix/matching puzzle game but that soon diverted into a more collecting and inventory management style loop. At some points we considered adding Naomi's hands within the frame similar to many pov games but opted not to because we were on a time crunch.
Shown here are all the completed sprites that were used in game. Included is Chris's dismembered body, Each growing limb and various stages, Each limb ready to attach to Chris, Chris's Heart Monitor, a Pipet, various vials containing colour coded cells, the cell itself, and a whiteboard containing the instructions on how to grow limbs. Some of the drawings were a mix of images and drawings but i primarily illustrated all of these myself.
These are all of the larger illustrations i did for the game, Each potential ending that the player can get based on how well or not well they played the game. A lesser known part that wasn't shown very clearly in the game was the logo for the Floracell Research Center, which is included here in a much more high def image. Also Included is the album cover for the OST that was written for the game. I worked closely with my teammate Lex Crowe to design a unique piece of art for the music.
The limbs shown in that cover are actually positioned in sign language spelling out the word "HELP"
These were then added against my teammate's art to create the final cover image!
you can listen to the full OST here: https://brazilianmusician.bandcamp.com/album/growing-pains-ost
The music was brilliantly written by Bralsra!
